I know also, my God, that you examine the heart, and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy your people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto you.

An obstinate heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

For the righteous LORD loves righteousness; his countenance beholds the upright.

ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.

Surely the righteous shall give thanks to your name: the upright shall dwell in your presence.

Fools mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favor.

The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keeps his way preserves his soul.

A wicked man hardens his face: but as for the upright, he directs his way.

For the disobedient is an abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.

Perverseness is in his heart, he devises trouble continually; he sows discord.

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the wayward mouth, do I hate.

He that reproves a scorner gets to himself shame: and he that rebukes a wicked man gets himself a blemish.
