I also could speak as you do: if your soul were in my soul’s place, I could heap up words against you, and shake my head at you.

To him that is afflicted pity should be shown from his friend; but he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

For they persecute him whom you have stricken; and they talk to the grief of those whom you have wounded.

For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a commission of the gospel is entrusted to me.

For we are not like many, who corrupt the word of God: but as men of sincerity, but as men from God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.

That you may approve things that are excellent; that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ;

But I desire you to understand, brethren, that the things which happened to me have turned out rather for the furtherance of the gospel;

For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

Even as it is fitting for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; seeing that both in my bonds, and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you are all sharers of my grace.

But you know his trustworthiness, that, as a son with his father, he has served with me in the gospel.

Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving, but you only.

And I appeal to you also, true yoke fellow, help those women which labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with my other fellow laborers, whose names are in the book of life.
