Now when Job’s three friends heard of all this evil that had come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him.

Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD that he has taken against Edom; and his purposes that he has purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall drag them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them.

Behold, he shall come up and fly like the eagle, and spread his wings over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her birth pangs.

Concerning Edom, thus says the LORD of hosts; Is wisdom no more in Teman? has counsel perished from the prudent? has their wisdom vanished?

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; I will also stretch out my hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and those of Dedan shall fall by the sword.

But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.

And he who is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, says the LORD.

And saviors shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD’S.

If thieves came to you, if robbers by night, (how you are cut off!) would they not have stolen till they had enough? if the grape gatherers came to you, would they not leave some grapes?

Behold, your people in the midst of you are women: the gates of your land shall be set wide open to your enemies: the fire shall devour your bars.

God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.

Meddle not with them; for I will not give you of their land, no, not so much as a foot breadth; because I have given mount Seir to Esau for a possession.
