Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, you, and Eleazar the priest, and the chief fathers of the congregation:

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

And divide the prey into two parts; between those who took the war upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the congregation:

Only the cattle and the spoil of that city Israel took for a prey for themselves, according to the word of the LORD which he commanded Joshua.
