And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, a hundred and thirty seven years: and he gave up the ghost and died; and was gathered to his people.

Aaron shall be gathered to his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given to the children of Israel, because you rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.

And strip Aaron of his garments, and put them on Eleazar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered to his people, and shall die there.

And Israel dwelt in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.

And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought to his kindred a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

And when you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was gathered.

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

And Moses spoke to the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves for war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the LORD on Midian.

For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, and was laid with his fathers, and saw corruption:

Dearly beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord.

For he is the servant of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain: for he is the servant of God, an avenger to execute wrath upon him who does evil.

To me belong vengeance, and recompense; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but you shall go over, and possess that good land.

That no one go too far and take advantage of his brother in any matter: because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.

For we know him who has said, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

Rejoice over her, heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets; for God has avenged you on her.

For true and righteous are his judgments: for he has judged the great whore, who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

And they cried out with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, will you not judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?

And when the people saw him, they praised their god: for they said, Our god has delivered into our hands our enemy, and the destroyer of our country, who slew many of us.

And also all that generation were gathered to their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor the works which he had done for Israel.
