These are the families of Judah according to those that were numbered of them, seventy six thousand five hundred.

Judah, you are he whom your brothers shall praise: your hand shall be in the neck of your enemies; your father’s children shall bow down before you.

For Judah prevailed above his brothers, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph’s:)

The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.

And the sons of Pharez were; of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites: of Hamul, the family of the Hamulites.

For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Judah; of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.
