God brought him forth out of Egypt; he has strength like the strength of a wild ox: he shall eat up the nations that are his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.

You shall break them with a rod of iron; you shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

Therefore shall you make them turn their back, when you shall make ready your arrows upon your strings against their face.

Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; by which the people fall under you.

Your throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of your kingdom is a right sceptre.

But if you shall indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries.

Only do not rebel against the LORD, neither fear the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defense is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.

And the people spoke against God, and against Moses, Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loathes this light bread.

God brought them out of Egypt; he has strength like the strength of a wild ox.

Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eats of the prey, and drinks the blood of the slain.

And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken concerning the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

I will heap adversity upon them; I will spend my arrows upon them.

I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, in the beginning of vengeance upon the enemy.

When the LORD your God shall bring you into the land to which you go to possess it, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you;

For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when you came out of Egypt; and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you completely destroyed.
