O God, you are awesome out of your holy places: the God of Israel is he that gives strength and power to his people. Blessed be God.

He sent messengers therefore to Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they dwell before me:

God brought him forth out of Egypt; he has strength like the strength of a wild ox: he shall eat up the nations that are his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.

His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of the wild ox: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when you came out of Egypt; and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you completely destroyed.
