And the people spoke against God, and against Moses, Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loathes this light bread.

And they said to Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? why have you dealt thus with us, to bring us forth out of Egypt?

And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, This is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat.

And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

The full soul loathes a honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.

Nevertheless the children rebelled against me: they did not walk in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man does, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to carry out my anger against them in the wilderness.

But even a whole month, until it comes out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome to you: because you have despised the LORD who is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why did we come forth out of Egypt?

But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, You have killed the people of the LORD.

And the children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.

Neither should we provoke Christ, as some of them also provoked, and were destroyed by serpents.
