Moreover you gave them kingdoms and nations, and divided them into the farthest parts of the land: so they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan.
Those who fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon because of its strength: but a fire shall come forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.
On this side of the Jordan, in the valley opposite Beth-peor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel struck down, after they had come forth out of Egypt:
Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel struck down, and possessed their land on the other side of the Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon to mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:
For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when you came out of Egypt; and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you completely destroyed.
And I brought you into the land of the Amorites, which dwelt on the other side of the Jordan; and they fought with you: and I gave them into your hand, that you might possess their land; and I destroyed them from before you.
And the LORD said to the children of Israel, Did I not deliver you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?
