O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.

Blessed is the man whom you choose, and cause to approach unto you, that he may dwell in your courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, even of your holy temple.

And take to yourself Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister to me in the priest’s office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons.

And their nobles shall be from themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this who pledged his heart to approach me? says the LORD.

Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of the Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a chosen man that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will choose for me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?

And the chamber whose face is toward the north is for the priests who have charge of the altar: these are the sons of Zadok among the sons of Levi, who come near to the LORD to minister unto him.

And you shall give to the priests the Levites that be of the descendents of Zadok, who approach unto me, to minister unto me, says the Lord GOD, a young bullock for a sin offering.

The holy portion of the land shall be for the priests, the ministers of the sanctuary, which shall come near to minister unto the LORD: and it shall be a place for their houses, and a holy place for the sanctuary.

Then Moses said to Aaron, This is what the LORD spoke, saying, I will be sanctified in those who come near me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and a bullock for the sin offering, and two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread;

Then shall you return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that serves him not.

And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said to them, You take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: why then do you lift yourselves up above the congregation of the LORD?

This do; Take censers, Korah, and all his company;

And it shall come to pass, that the man’s rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.

And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and appointed you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

Until the day in which he was taken up, after he through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom he had chosen:

And they prayed, and said, You, Lord, who know the hearts of all men, show which of these two you have chosen,

As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, Separate for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.

And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said to them, Men and fellow believers, you know how a good while ago God decided among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

And he said, The God of our fathers has chosen you, that you should know his will, and see that Just One, and should hear the voice of his mouth.

But now in Christ Jesus you who at one time were far off are made near by the blood of Christ.

Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, The Lord knows those who are his. And, Let every one who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Pursue peace with all men, and holiness, without which no one shall see the Lord:

And has made us kings and priests to God and his Father; to him be glory and power for ever and ever. Amen.

And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon my altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give to the house of your father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?
