And Lot went out, and spoke to his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Get up, and leave this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked to his sons in law.
Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from your fierce anger, and repent of this evil against your people.
For the LORD had said to Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, You are a stiff-necked people: I will come up into the midst of you in a moment, and consume you: therefore now put off your ornaments from you, that I may know what to do to you.
Then the angel of the LORD went out, and struck down in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and eighty five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.
And the LORD said to Moses, Bring Aaron’s rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and you shall fully take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not sharers in her sins, and that you do not receive of her plagues.
