Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:

Because they did not believe in God, and did not trust in his salvation:

For all this they sinned still, and did not believe because of his wondrous works.

Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.

And the LORD said to Moses, How long do you people refuse to keep my commandments and my laws?

Beware of him, and obey his voice, do not provoke him; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

This evil people, who refuse to hear my words, who walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be like this waistband, which is good for nothing.

O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long shall your vain thoughts reside within you?

But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they did not walk in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man does, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.

Your calf, O Samaria, has cast you off; my anger is kindled against them: how long will it be before they attain to innocence?

For thus says the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, says the LORD of hosts, and I did not repent:

Surely they shall not see the land which I swore to their fathers, neither shall any of those who provoked me see it:

How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.

And the LORD’S anger was kindled the same time, and he swore, saying,

Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to me.

He answered him, and said, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I endure you? Bring him to me.

But if I do, though you do not believe me, believe the works: that you may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they did not believe in him:

If I had not done among them the works that no other man did, they would not have had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

Yet in this thing you did not believe the LORD your God,

For some, when they had heard, did provoke: however not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

And to whom did he swear that they would not enter into his rest, but to those who believed not?

Do not harden your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
