And said to the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity to me, neither remember that which your servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

And David’s heart struck him after he had numbered the people. And David said to the LORD, I have sinned greatly in what I have done: and now, I plead with you, O LORD, take away the iniquity of your servant; for I have done very foolishly.

Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also.

If you have done foolishly in lifting up yourself, or if you have thought evil, lay your hand upon your mouth.

And said to Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we plead with you, our supplication be accepted before you, and pray for us unto the LORD your God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as your eyes do behold us:)

And the people cried out to Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the LORD, the fire was quenched.

Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb.

Then answered Simon, and said, Pray to the Lord for me, that none of these things which you have spoken may come upon me.

Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them come and worship before your feet, and know that I have loved you.

And all the people said to Samuel, Pray for your servants unto the LORD your God, that we die not: for we have added to all our sins this evil, to ask for a king.

Therefore the LORD God of Israel says, I said indeed that your house, and the house of your father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD says, Be it far from me; for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
