Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent: and the anger of the LORD was kindled greatly; Moses also was displeased.

But murmured in their tents, and did not listen to the voice of the LORD.

Do I not hate them, O LORD, that hate you? and am I not grieved with those that rise up against you?

Therefore the LORD heard this, and was angry: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel;

When God heard this, he was angry, and greatly abhorred Israel:

Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he has stretched out his hand against them, and has stricken them: and the hills trembled, and their carcasses were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

And you, even yourself, shall cease from your heritage that I gave you; and I will cause you to serve your enemies in the land which you do not know: for you have kindled a fire in my anger, which shall burn for ever.

And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed those who were in the farthest parts of the camp.

And Moses said unto the LORD, Wherefore have you afflicted your servant? and wherefore have I not found favor in your sight, that you lay the burden of all this people on me?

And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell upon it.

(Now the man Moses was very meek, more than all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

So they got up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.

And the people spoke against God, and against Moses, Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loathes this light bread.

But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said to them, Let little children come to me, and do not forbid them: for of such is the kingdom of God.

And when he had looked all around at them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he said to the man, Stretch out your hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole like the other.

For a fire is kindled in my anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
