Then I answered them, and said to them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but you have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.

Then the king said to me, For what do you make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.

So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth your glory.

O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endures for ever.

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.

In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.

That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his companions would not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

And he said to them, I am a Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, who has made the sea and the dry land.

I will gather those who long for the solemn assembly, who are of your people, to whom the reproach of it was a burden.

Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
