O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endures for ever.

And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried out to God in the battle, and he answered them; because they put their trust in him.

Thus the children of Israel were brought low at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon the LORD God of their fathers.

Does not Hezekiah persuade you to give over yourselves to die by famine and by thirst, saying, The LORD our God shall deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

And the LORD sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valor, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endures for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

For the LORD knows the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to all generations.

​The LORD hear you in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend you;

Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.

But I will sing of your power; yea, I will sing aloud of your mercy in the morning: for you have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble.

Be thou my strong habitation, to which I may continually resort: you have given commandment to save me; for you are my rock and my fortress.

In the day of my trouble I will call upon you: for you will answer me.

And those who know your name will put their trust in you: for you, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him.

The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runs into it, and is safe.

For you have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

And a man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a shelter from the storm; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

Who is among you that fears the LORD, that obeys the voice of his servant, that walks in darkness, and has no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and rely upon his God.

O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come to you from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things in which there is no profit.

Be not a terror to me: you are my hope in the day of evil.

Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge those who are taken away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.

The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endures for ever: and of those who shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause the captivity of the land to return, as at the first, says the LORD.

The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.

Then Nebuchadnezzar spoke, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel, and delivered his servants who trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god except their own God.

Then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and speak forth his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

I will also leave in the midst of you an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.

He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

And then will I declare to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you who work iniquity.

I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known by mine.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness: otherwise you also shall be cut off.

But now, after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how can you turn back to the weak and impoverished principles, to which you desire again to be in bondage?

Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, The Lord knows those who are his. And, Let every one who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
