And you, Capernaum, which are exalted to heaven, shall be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in you, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

Now when the centurion, and those who were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the region of Zebulon and Naphtali:

And he entered into a boat, and passed over, and came into his own city.

And when the centurion, who stood before him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the spirit, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was reported that he was in the house.

And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said to the centurion that stood by, Is it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Roman, and uncondemned?

Then Paul called one of the centurions to him, and said, Bring this young man to the chief captain: for he has a certain thing to tell him.

And he called to him two centurions, saying, Make ready two hundred soldiers to go to Caesarea, and seventy horsemen, and two hundred spearmen, at the third hour of the night;

And when the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, loosing from there, they sailed close by Crete.

Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Unless these remain in the ship, you cannot be saved.

But the centurion, desiring to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and commanded that those who could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land:

And seeing that Lydda was near Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent to him two men, desiring of him that he would not delay to come to them.
