You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fulness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice:

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk in it, when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left.

And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for others: the traveling men, though fools, shall not err therein.

And shall say, Build up, build up, prepare the way, take the stumbling block out of the way of my people.

Thus says the LORD, Stand in the ways, and look, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it, and you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk in it.

So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many are called, but few are chosen.

For many are called, but few are chosen.

Enter in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who go in through it:

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are voracious wolves.

And when he had called the people to him with his disciples also, he said to them, Whoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time is coming, that whoever kills you will think that he does God service.

These things I have spoken to you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Why? Because they sought it not by faith, but as if by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone;
