Now when the centurion, and those who were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said to him, I adjure you by the living God, that you tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God.

And sitting down they watched him there;

And saying, You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save yourself. If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.

He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

And, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks split;

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If you are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

And when Jesus had entered into Capernaum, there came to him a centurion, pleading with him,

There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,

Now when they heard this, they were pierced in their heart, and said to Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and kindred, what shall we do?

Who immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down to them: and when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, they left off beating Paul.

Then Paul called one of the centurions to him, and said, Bring this young man to the chief captain: for he has a certain thing to tell him.

And he called to him two centurions, saying, Make ready two hundred soldiers to go to Caesarea, and seventy horsemen, and two hundred spearmen, at the third hour of the night;

And when it was determined that we should sail into Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners to one named Julius, a centurion of Augustus’ band.

But the centurion, desiring to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and commanded that those who could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land:

And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the rest were frightened, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
