And they compelled one Simon a Cyrenian, who was passing by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry his cross.

And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might carry it after Jesus.

And he carrying his cross went out into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:

And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they came to Antioch, spoke to the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

And threw him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.
