When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus out, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.

And on a set day Herod, clothed in royal apparel, sat on his throne, and made an oration to them.

And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made an insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat,

And he drove them from the judgment seat.

Then all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the chief ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgment seat. And Gallio cared about none of those things.

Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar’s judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as you very well know.

Therefore, when they came here, without any delay on the next day I sat on the judgment seat, and commanded the man to be brought out.

And when he had remained among them more than ten days, he went down to Caesarea; and the next day sitting on the judgment seat commanded Paul to be brought.

Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

My little children, these things I write to you so that you do not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
