And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he has to be a judge: now will we deal worse with you, than with them. And they pushed hard against the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.

And when he had gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said to those who were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.

And saying, You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save yourself. If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.

And he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

And those who passed by ridiculed him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, you who destroy the temple, and build it in three days,

And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.

We know that God spoke to Moses: as for this fellow, we do not know where he is from.

Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoics, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? Others, He seems to be a presenter of strange gods: because he preached to them Jesus, and the resurrection.

Saying, This fellow persuades men to worship God contrary to the law.

And they gave him audience until this word, and then lifted up their voices, and said, Take away such a fellow from the earth: for it is not fit that he should live.
