When Jesus understood it, he said to them, Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work on me.

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

For you have the poor with you always, and whenever you will you may do them good: but me you have not always.

For the poor you always have with you; but me you have not always.

Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You shall seek me: and as I said to the Jews, Where I go, you cannot come; so now I say to you.

Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you will see me: because I live, you shall live also.

I came forth from the Father, and have come into the world: again, I am leaving the world, and going to the Father.

But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asks me, Where are you going?

And now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restoring all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

Only they desired that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was eager to do.

For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command you, saying, You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor, and to your needy, in your land.

But he who has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his feelings of compassion from him, how does the love of God dwell in him?
