I was a stranger, and you did not take me in: naked, and you did not clothe me: sick, and in prison, and you did not visit me.

He answered and said to them, He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none; and he that has food, let him do likewise.

I have shown you all things, how so laboring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

For you had compassion on me in my bonds, and accepted joyfully the plundering of your goods, knowing in yourselves that you have in heaven a better and an enduring possession.

Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them; and those who suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
