When you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (he who reads, let him understand:)

And this shall be a sign to you, says the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that you may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:

And the man said to me, Son of man, behold with your eyes, and hear with your ears, and set your heart upon all that I shall show you; in order that I might show them to you are you brought here: declare all that you see to the house of Israel.

Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:

And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily service, and they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate.

And from the time that the daily service shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

At the beginning of your supplications the commandment came forth, and I have come to show you; for you are greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem until the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and sixty two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troubled times.

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that which is determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Then let those who are in Judea flee into the mountains:

But when you shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him who reads understand,) then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains:

For the days shall come upon you, that your enemies shall build siege works around you, and surround you and keep you in on every side,

And when you shall see Jerusalem surrounded with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is near.

If we let him thus alone, everyone will believe in him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.

Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teaches all men everywhere against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and has polluted this holy place.

And set up false witnesses, who said, This man does not cease to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

Blessed is he who reads, and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
