If a man sins against his neighbor, and an oath be laid upon him to make him swear, and the oath comes before your altar in this house;

If a man vows a vow unto the LORD, or swears an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

Woe to you, you blind guides, who say, Whoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
