And they sent out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that you are true, and teach the way of God in truth, neither do you care for any man: for you do not regard the person of men.

And Micaiah said, As the LORD lives, what the LORD says to me, that will I speak.

They speak vanity every one with his neighbor: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is wickedness itself; their throat is an open sepulcher; they flatter with their tongue.

The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.

And they sent to him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.

And when they had come, they said to him, Master, we know that you are true, and care for no man: for you do not regard the person of men, but teach the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

And the Pharisees went out, and immediately took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

And he instructed them, saying, Be careful, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.

And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that you say and teach rightly, neither do you accept the person of any, but teach the way of God truly:

And Jesus answering said to him, Simon, I have something to say to you. And he said, Master, say on.

Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, but by me.

Pilate therefore said to him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born, and for this reason I came into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Every one who is of the truth hears my voice.

He that speaks from himself seeks his own glory: but he that seeks his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

For we are not like many, who corrupt the word of God: but as men of sincerity, but as men from God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

Therefore from this time on we know no one according to the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet from now on we know him in this way no more.

For am I now persuading men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I were yet pleasing men, I would not be the servant of Christ.

But from these who seemed to be something, (whatever they were, it makes no difference to me: God accepts no man’s person:) for those who seemed to be something in conference added nothing to me:

Who said to his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed your word, and kept your covenant.

But as we were considered by God to be qualified to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, who examines our hearts.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easily approached, full of mercy and good fruits, without bias, and without hypocrisy.

And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we may know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
