What? Do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For two, says he, shall be one flesh.

Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

The wife does not have power over her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband does not have power over his own body, but the wife.

For this reason shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh.

You shall fear the LORD your God; him shall you serve, and to him shall you cling, and swear by his name.

For if you shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cling to him;

But you that did cling to the LORD your God are alive every one of you this day.

And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking to Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.

David also took Ahinoam of Jezreel; and they were also both of them his wives.
