For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Therefore if your hand or your foot offends you, cut it off, and throw it away from you: it is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be thrown into everlasting fire.

And he said to him, Why do you call me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: but if you will enter into life, keep the commandments.

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of unbelief.

And there shall by no means enter into it anything that defiles, neither whatever works abomination, or makes a lie: but those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
