Then his lord, after he had called him, said to him, O you wicked servant, I forgave you all that debt, because you pleaded with me:

Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and released him, and forgave him the debt.

So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told to their lord all that was done.

Should not you also have had compassion on your fellow servant, even as I had pity on you?

His lord answered and said to him, You wicked and slothful servant, you knew that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I have not scattered:

And he said to him, Out of your own mouth will I judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was a severe man, taking up what I did not lay down, and reaping what I did not sow:

Now we know that whatever things the law says, it says to those who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

For he shall have judgment without mercy that has shown no mercy; and mercy rejoices against judgment.
