And he said, Now also let it be according to your words: he with whom it is found shall be my servant; and you shall be blameless.

And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.

And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to you, my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass has grown up unto the heavens.

For my iniquities have gone over my head: as a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

For innumerable evils have surrounded me: my iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head: therefore my heart fails me.

Therefore is the kingdom of heaven compared to a certain king, who wanted to take account of his servants.

But seeing that he was not able to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his own ability; and immediately took his journey.

Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made with them five more talents.

And so he who had received five talents came and brought five more talents, saying, Lord, you delivered to me five talents: look! I have gained besides them five talents more.

He also who had received two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered to me two talents: look!, I have gained two other talents besides them.

Then he who had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered:

Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, do you think that they were sinners more than all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?

So he called every one of his lord’s debtors to him, and said to the first, How much do you owe to my lord?

Then said he to another, And how much do you owe? And he said, A hundred measures of wheat. And he said to him, Take your bill, and write eighty.
