And if your right hand offends you, cut it off, and throw it from you: for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not that your whole body should be thrown into hell.

And if your hand offends you, cut it off: it is better for you to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

It would be better for him that a millstone were hanged around his neck, and he thrown into the sea, than that he would offend one of these little ones.

When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said to them, Does this offend you?

It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor anything by which your brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak.

Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will eat no flesh while the world stands, so that I do not cause my brother to stumble.

But be careful so that this liberty of yours does not by any means become a stumbling block to those who are weak.

Giving no offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be blamed:

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might be rich.

Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Listen, my beloved brethren, Has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to those who love him?
