But when they persecute you in this city, flee into another: for truly I say to you, You shall not have gone through all the cities of Israel, till the Son of man has come.
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world?
Jesus said to him, You have said it: nevertheless I say to you, After this shall you see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Whoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
And he said to them, Truly I say to you, That there are some of them that stand here, who shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
Then said the Jews to him, Now we know that you have a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and you say, If a man keeps my saying, he shall never taste of death.
Which also said, You men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven.
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every person.
Be patient therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until he receives the early and latter rain.
For we have not followed cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
