And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be you, tell me to come to you on the water.
But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
And he said, Come. And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
Then answered Peter and said to him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed you; what shall we have therefore?
But he spoke the more vehemently, If I would die with you, I will by no means deny you. Likewise also said they all.
Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to everyone that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
