The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he tore his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man sends to me to heal a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeks a quarrel against me.

The LORD opens the eyes of the blind: the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down: the LORD loves the righteous:

The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

And the LORD said to him, Who has made man’s mouth? or who makes the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?

And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

Bring out the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.

For all those things has my hand made, and all those things have been, says the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at my word.

And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock. And I took to myself two staffs; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bonds; and I fed the flock.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely you have received, freely give.

Jesus answered and said to them, Go and tell John again those things which you hear and see:

Then said he to the man, Stretch out your hand. And he stretched it out; and it was restored whole, like the other.

And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

And their eyes were opened; and Jesus strictly instructed them, saying, See that no man knows it.

And were astonished beyond measure, saying, He has done all things well: he makes both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying to him, You dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are bruised,

Jesus answered them, I told you, and you did not believe: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.

But if I do, though you do not believe me, believe the works: that you may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, on the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.

The same came to Jesus by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that you do, unless God is with him.

But I have a greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father has given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father has sent me.

And said to him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

You men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as you yourselves also know:

Listen, my beloved brethren, Has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to those who love him?
