And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the region of Zebulon and Naphtali:

And he entered into a boat, and passed over, and came into his own city.

But he went out, and began to make it known widely, and to report the matter far and wide, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was outside in uninhabited places: and they came to him from every quarter.

And immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as around the door: and he preached the word to them.

And the multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

And when he had entered into the house away from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.

And from there he arose, and went into the region of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into a house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hidden.

And when he had come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could we not cast it out?

And he said to them, You will surely say to me this proverb, Physician, heal yourself: whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in your country.

And, behold, men brought in a bed a man who was taken with paralysis: and they sought a way to bring him in, and to lay him before him.

When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to him, and pleaded with him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.

Now when this was reported outside, the multitude came together, and were perplexed, because everyone heard them speak in his own language.
