And he told it to his father, and to his brothers: and his father rebuked him, and said to him, What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow ourselves down to the earth to you?
Come now therefore, and let us kill him, and throw him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast has devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.
And when they had braided a crown of thorns, they put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
