But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him a hundred silver coins: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me what you owe.

And when they had received it, they murmured against the head of the household,

For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.

And there were some that were angry and offended within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?

And Jesus said, Let her alone; why do you trouble her? She has done a good work on me.

And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receives sinners, and eats with them.

For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said to him, Buy those things that we have need of for the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.

Jesus therefore answered and said to them, Do not murmur among yourselves.

Philip answered him, Two hundred silver coins worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.

Neither should you murmur, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer.

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have something to give to him that is needy.

And you murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he has brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.

Do all things without murmuring and disputing:

These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaks great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration for the sake of gain.
