He is despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

From that time on Jesus began to show his disciples how he must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

What do you think? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.

And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

You have heard the blasphemy: what do you think? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

And immediately in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and took him away, and delivered him to Pilate.

And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and by the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

And he answered and told them, Elijah truly comes first, and restores all things; and indeed it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be treated with contempt.

For he taught his disciples, and said to them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after he is killed, he shall rise the third day.

But they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.

Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.

Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas to the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves did not go into the judgment hall, so that they would not be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.

That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spoke, signifying what death he would die.

Jesus answered, You could have no power at all against me, unless it were given you from above: therefore he that delivered me to you has the greater sin.

For those who dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they did not know him, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:

You have condemned and killed the just; and he does not resist you.
