Then those who feared the LORD spoke often one to another: and the LORD listened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for those who feared the LORD, and who thought upon his name.

And it shall come to pass, as soon as I am gone from you, that the Spirit of the LORD shall carry you where I know not; and so when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find you, he shall slay me: but I your servant fear the LORD from my youth.

And Ahab called Obadiah, who was the governor of his house. (Now Obadiah feared the LORD greatly:

Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.

O Lord, I plead with you, let now your ear be attentive to the prayer of your servant, and to the prayer of your servants, who delight to fear your name: and prosper, I pray you, your servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.

And when inquiry was made concerning the matter, it was found out; therefore they were both hanged on a tree: and it was written in the book of the chronicles before the king.

On that night the king could not sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.

And to man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

I will sing to the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all those who do his commandments: his praise endures for ever.

He will bless those who fear the LORD, both small and great.

I am a companion of all those who fear you, and of those who keep your precepts.

For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, you know it altogether.

The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

But on the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon those who fear him, upon those who hope in his mercy;

The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.

You tell my wanderings: put my tears into your bottle: are they not in your book?

When I cry unto you, then shall my enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

Come and hear, all you that fear God, and I will declare what he has done for my soul.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me your comforts delight my soul.

Yet now, if you will forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray you, out of your book which you have written.

He that walks with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is sustained on you: because he trusts in you.

Yea, in the way of your judgments, O LORD, have we waited for you; the desire of our soul is for your name, and for the remembrance of you.

And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remains in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:

Who is among you that fears the LORD, that obeys the voice of his servant, that walks in darkness, and has no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and rely upon his God.

Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,

I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; You have disciplined me, and I was disciplined, like a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn me, and I shall be turned; for you are the LORD my God.

I listened and heard, but they did not speak rightly: no man repented of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his way, as the horse rushes into the battle.

A fiery stream flowed and came forth from before him: a thousand thousands ministered to him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and who turn aside the stranger from his right, and do not fear me, says the LORD of hosts.

But to you who fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and you shall go out, and grow up like calves of the stall.

And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise to the Lord, and spoke of him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

And when they came in, they went up into an upper room, where Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James were all staying.

A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, who gave many gifts to the people, and prayed to God always.

And when the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Then the churches had rest throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, were multiplied.

Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Therefore comfort one another, and edify one another, even as also you do.

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the discouraged, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

And let us consider one another to provoke to love and to good works:

Looking diligently lest anyone falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up troubles you, and thereby many are defiled;

But encourage one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Who shall not fear you, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you only are holy: for all nations shall come and worship before you; for your judgments are made known.

And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
