And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruit of your ground; neither shall your vine drop her fruit before the time in the field, says the LORD of hosts.
I will surely consume them, says the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.
The vine is dried up, and the fig tree droops; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.
That which the creeping worm has left has the locust eaten; and that which the locust has left has the young locust eaten; and that which the young locust has left has the caterpiller eaten.
But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his rear part toward the farthest sea, and his stink shall come up, and his stench shall come up, because he has done great things.
Be not afraid, you beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do sprout, for the tree bears her fruit, the fig tree and the vine yield their strength.
And I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten, the young locust, and the caterpiller, and the creeping locust, my great army which I sent among you.
I have stricken you with blight and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the creeping worm devoured them: yet have you not returned to me, says the LORD.
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no food; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the grain, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground brings forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labor of the hands.
For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.
That I will give you the rain of your land at the proper time, the first rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, and your wine, and your oil.
