And Urijah the priest built an altar according to all that king Ahaz had sent from Damascus: so Urijah the priest made it for king Ahaz’ coming from Damascus.

That you may regard discretion, and that your lips may keep knowledge.

Better it is that you should not vow, than that you should vow and not pay.

Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind like he that is perfect, and blind like the LORD’S servant?

Who confirms the word of his servant, and performs the counsel of his messengers; who says to Jerusalem, You shall be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, You shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:

Therefore thus says the LORD, If you return, then will I bring you back, and you shall stand before me: and if you take away the precious from the vile, you shall be as my mouth: let them return to you; but do not return to them.

Then they said, Come, and let us devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us strike him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.

The priests did not say, Where is the LORD? and those who handle the law did not know me: the shepherds also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.

Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned my holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shown any difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumor shall be upon rumor; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.

And those who understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by plunder, many days.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, so that you shall be no priest to me: seeing that you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.

And that you may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD has spoken to them by the hand of Moses.

Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary; they have done violence to the law.

Then spoke Haggai the LORD’S messenger with the LORD’S message to the people, saying, I am with you, says the LORD.

And to speak to the priests which were in the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?

Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom you delight in: behold, he shall come, says the LORD of hosts.

And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him accrding to the judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.

Truly, truly, I say to you, He who receives whomever I send receives me; and he who receives me receives him that sent me.

Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father has sent me, even so send I you.

The same followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, who show us the way of salvation.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God pleaded with you by us: we appeal to you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

And my temptation which was in my flesh you did not despise, nor reject; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.

And the priests the sons of Levi shall come near; for the LORD your God has chosen them to minister to him, and to bless in the name of the LORD; and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried:

Be careful in the plague of leprosy, that you observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so you shall observe to do.

He therefore that despises these things, does not despise man, but God, who has also given to us his Holy Spirit.

Therefore the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD: for men abhorred the offering of the LORD.
