Therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam the lad that waters the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel, and will take away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam, as a man takes away dung, till it be all gone.

Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: those who have seen him shall say, Where is he?

God has gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.

The field is wasted, the land mourns; for the grain is wasted: the new wine is dried up, the oil languishes.

The seed is rotten under the clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the grain is withered.

I also will do this to you; I will even appoint over you terror, a wasting disease, and the burning fever, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

And I will throw abominable filth upon you, and make you vile, and will make you a gazing stock.

Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as you have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.

It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men throw it out. He that has ears to hear, let him hear.

Being defamed, we appeal: we are made like the filth of the world, and are the refuse of all things until this day.

You shall carry much seed out into the field, and shall gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.
