And as he prayed, the appearance of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistening.
Your eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.
For he shall grow up before him like a tender plant, and like a root out of a dry ground: he has no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
And was transfigured before them: and his face shone like the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
After that he appeared in another form to two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.
Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

And, behold, there talked with him two men, who were Moses and Elijah:
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
And all who sat in the council, looking steadfastly at him, saw his face as if it were the face of an angel.
And I saw a great white throne, and him who sat on it, from whose face earth and heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
