No one, when he has lighted a candle, covers it with a vessel, or puts it under a bed; but sets it on a candlestick, that those who enter in may see the light.

If you love me, keep my commandments.

If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

To those who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life:

But now being made free from sin, and having become servants to God, you have your fruit in holiness, and the end everlasting life.

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwells no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I do not find out.

Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that you should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit for God.

But if we hope for what we do not see, then do we wait for it with patience.

Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but instead keep the commandments of God.

For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your descendents, to love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

That you might walk worthy of the Lord for all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Which has come to you, as it is in all the world; and brings forth fruit, as it does also in you, since the day you heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

For you have need of patience, that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise.

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

But let patience perform its work completely, that you may be perfect and entire, lacking nothing.

And by this we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
