When I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done upon the earth: (for also there is the man who neither day nor night sees sleep with his eyes:)
Sell what you have, and give gifts; provide yourselves bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that fails not, where no thief approaches, neither moth corrupts.
Now when Jesus heard these things, he said to him, You still lack one thing: sell all that you have, and distribute to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
Give, and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your lap. For with the same measure that you use it shall be measured to you again.
I have shown you all things, how so laboring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might be rich.
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have something to give to him that is needy.
