And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

Then the devil left him, and, behold, angels came and ministered to him.

And Jesus answering said to him, It is said, You shall not tempt the Lord your God.

And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.

After this I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world is coming, and has nothing in me.

For we have not a high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our weaknesses; but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
