And it came to pass, that, while they conversed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

And they talked together of all these things which had happened.

But their eyes were held so that they would not know him.

And as they thus spoke, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, Peace be unto you.
