Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and truly I say unto you, You shall not see me at all, until the time comes when you shall say, Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord.

Blessed be he that comes in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good tidings, who announces peace; who brings good tidings of good, who announces salvation; who says to Zion, Your God reigns!

But if you will not hear these words, I swear by myself, says the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation.

Therefore thus says the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken to them, but they have not heard; and I have called to them, but they have not answered.

Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps of ruins, and the mountain of the house like the high places of the forest.

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses plundered, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried out, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets, and stone those who are sent to you, how often would I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you would not!

And when he had come near, he saw the city, and wept over it,

And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Took branches of palm trees, and went out to meet him, and cried out, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel who comes in the name of the Lord.
